Hey, content creators, entrepreneurs, and business owners.

I believe you already know the power of social media, like YouTubers, influencers, and businesses all make thousands or even millions of dollars out of it. šŸ’°

And if you feel like you want to reach a larger audience in a short time and generate revenue.

Here is a shortcut.

You can actually make more money on social media by leveraging Chinese social media platforms.

Yes, there is no difference between growing your brand, making money on YouTube/Instagram/Facebook, and doing the same on Chinese social media.

In some ways, it might even be easier and more profitable.

Today, Iā€™m here to share this Chinese social media hack that could increase your online presence and revenue, which might be your biggest Opportunity to Grow in 2023.

First, what are the social media platforms in China?

As you might know, we canā€™t access international social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok here in China.

Instead, China has developed its own social media ecosystem with platforms that may appear similar to their international counterparts.

Itā€™s a gap but also an Opportunity!

Look at this number: China has over 1.4 billion people, and Chinese social media platforms have 1 billion active users.

To give you some perspective, thatā€™s 7 times Russiaā€™s population (143 million) and 12 times Germanyā€™s population (83 million).

Trust me, you donā€™t want to Ignore this huge market opportunity.

For content creators and brands who already have a presence on YouTube and Instagram, itā€™s so easy to just copy-paste your content to Chinese social media, opening a gate to over 1 billion Chinese audiences!

For anyone who doesnā€™t have existing content, or at least the ability to create content, it will be as difficult as growing a new account on YouTube.

And this is a different case, I will talk about it in the future, not today.

I understand that many of you might still think Chinese social media are out of reach because you are unfamiliar with these platforms and most likely donā€™t speak Chinese.

But let me tell you, itā€™s much more achievable than you think.

Let me share some examples of both individual content creators and businesses successfully leveraging social media in China:

  • Pamela Reif: a fitness influencer known for her workout content. She has 9 million followers on YouTube, and after copying and pasting the content to the Chinese YouTube app Bilibili, she generated an impressive 11 million followers. Additionally, sheā€™s garnered a massive 16 million following on the Chinese TikTok , Douyin.
  • Coach Shane: an English tutor who attracted 350k followers in 2 months by copying and pasting content. Meanwhile, his YouTube channel has fewer followers with 162kā€¦

There are too many examples of content creators who have attracted more followers in a very short time on Chinese social media, not only fitness coaches and English teachers but also photographers, musicians, gamers, travelers, yoga teachersā€¦

Other than individual content creators, letā€™s talk about brands.

There 2 international brands reached out to me for KOL marketing, as Iā€™m a KOL myself on Chinese social media. šŸ˜†

They have gained great success with KOL campaigns in China:

  • Athletic Greens: Athletic Greens is a well-known health and wellness brand that offers nutritional supplements. Their branded product hashtag generated nearly 16 million impressions.
  • Cambly: Cambly is an online platform for language practice. Despite having 65k followers, the brandā€™s hashtag reached 16 million impressions.

Others like French fashion brand SĆ©zane, skincare brand The Ordinary, and financial technology company Wiseā€¦ā€¦

So, if you are still reading, the opportunity only comes when you take action and act fast!

Iā€™ll teach you how to kick off.

1. Choose a platform.

Many Chinese social media platforms are similar to international ones. Like youtube vs Bilibili, Instagram VS. Xiaohongshu, Tiktok VS. Douyin.

Check out my other posts for platform introduction. If you still donā€™t know how to choose, feel free to leave comments, and I can provide personalized suggestions.

2. Create your profile on these platforms and start by copying and pasting your existing content from international platforms.

If you are concerned about the language barrier, there are 3 facts:

  • For universally understandable content like painting, music, or photographs, direct copying works.
  • If you create educational videos, simply add Chinese subtitles, as Chinese audiences get used to watching videos with subtitles it doesnā€™t matter which language you speak.
  • For blog posts, well, then you need to localize them in Chinese.

3. Grow your account by constantly updating the content.

Consistency is the key to everything, so make up your mind and plan how much effort you want to invest in Chinese social media. BTW, with the copy-paste strategy, it costs you nearly 0.

Start today and unlock the potential of the Chinese market.
